On the insides

When I was first asked by Katelyn to participate in the iPad Mini Giveaway I was very excited. I expected to meet some new girls, gain a few readers, and learn a few things. The outcome however has simply blown me away, and I cannot thank Katelyn enough for putting this thing together. I have met the most fantastic ladies in my cohosts (I will most definitely be introducing as many of them as possible to you), and have started to form such sweet friendships. I have also gained so many amazing, beautiful new readers! {Thats YOU}. It means the world to me that yall take time out of your lives to engage in mine. Please be sure to say hello, I would love to know more about you! As Ive been learning more and more about the blogger world I've just fallen more in love. What a wonderful community to be a part of. So I thought I would do a quick little introduction about the girl behind Brooklyn State of Mind.

I'm Brandi, but my friends just call me B. I can usually be found with a book in my hand, a beautiful little girl on my hip, a very tall very handsome man holdling my hand, and with a smile on my face. I'm goofy and freespirited. I love a good dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. My all time favorite movie is Breakfast at Tiffanys, with Labyrinth coming in a very close second {hello, David Bowie + Jennifer Connelly circa the 1980's. Go rent it. You're welcome}. And I often rock the "duck face". Dont judge me, its habit from 85,000 cheerleading competitions.

My husband, S, is my best friend. He is the funniest, most intelligent man I know. He's super handy around the house and a huge sports buff. Plus he's incredibly handsome, and the best father that I've ever known.

Brooklyn Grace, or BK as we more often refer to her, is the apple of our eye. She is 9 months going on 20, and so very active. She giggles when she toots, she loves music, and bath time is her favorite part of the day.

 

And rounding out our little family is the hoodrat, Daisymae. She's baller. She's also very happy we had a little girl so I no longer dress her up. Well not as often anyways.

 

Also worth noting. I have a huge, Columbian family and when we go some where it's as a pack of about 25. Part of my heart is still in Texas with my mama and baby brother. I'm a beach bum. And I dont eat eggs, unless it's egg in a hole on my birthday.

 

So thats me on the insides. I love every wild and crazy moment of this life I've been given.
