Resolved

So I took yesterday to really analyze my monthly goals. Here is what I came up with:

January
work life
February
love
March
writing
April
exercise
May
friendships
June
food
July
exploration
August
style
September
organization
October
reading
November
reflection
December
giving

I think my list flows pretty well for my life & I'm really looking forward to tackling a new area each month.

This month is work life. What work life? This SAHM is smoking something you must be thinking. Well that is the whole purpose of this month. Figuring out exactly where I am heading this year career wise. Brooklyn Grace is almost one. Realistically I got my time at home with her, and it was absolutely everything I dreamed it would be. I wouldnt trade a minute of it for the world. And I am so thankful that my husband was able to provide such amazing time and memories for me and Brooklyn. But am I ready to go back into the work force? Would it be worth it? Both financially and emotionally. What do I even want to do? Look for a teaching position for next year. Look for something part time. Look for something in a completely different field.

See I'm a dreamer. I'm a lover. I'm a true adventurer. I believe it's never too late to change your mind or go after you dreams. I fall in love with new ideas and new experiences. I'm not afraid of change or trying new things. While I believe that these can be great qualities to possess, they can also get me into trouble at times. I can be indecisive. Especially with regards to careers. I changed my major 4 times and graduated with way more credits than one needs. I dont know that I've yet found my "calling" with regards to the working world.

What do you do? Do you love it? Do you hate it?

So that's what I'm working on this month. I'll be doing some soul searching and possibly some job searching. Wish me luck.

  2. I like how each month has a theme. Kind of reminds me of that book The Happiness Project. Which, I picked up right before the New Year and am hoping to read sometime soon :)

  4. I love this idea! It's so smart to tackled just one thing a month..it helps the changes you make turn into life habits. Can't wait to see where this takes you :)

  5. I like nursing, but I am a creative person, so I know we've talked about my event planning interests. I'm starting to think of making it a side project. I do like working with kids but I need that additional outlet.

  7. I love how you have a topic per month, it's like "The Happiness Project" have you read it? It's a really good book, definitely gets you thinking. I am hoping to read the sequel this month.
Good luck with the soul searching and the job searching when the time comes for you to do it.
