Today is a rainy, gloomy day in Virginia. Not your stereotypical perfect Friday for most, it's not sunny or warm or full of adventure, but days like today are my idea of a little slice of heaven.
Even though it's after 2pm, we're still in our jammies. That's only likely to change when we shower and put on a fresh pair. Our morning started off with Chick Fil A breakfast and the premiere of Sophia the First on Disney Jr. After a dance party and some play time, we came upstairs for some book reading & more snuggles. Snuggles turned into nap time, which we woke up from just long enough to get some water and go back to sleep. Which is where we are now. Still in our jammies taking our semi-second nap of the day. And it has been glorious.
It's day like today that I really try and soak in. Soon enough BK will be at school or with friends. Not interested in lazy days with mommy. Though I know I'll still force her into some, this time is priceless to me.
Tonight I plan on pulling the hubby in on our lazy day. I see a night of take out and Ted on RedBox.
I've always loved days like today.
